You Got the Job! Now What the Heck Are You Gonna Wear?

As the school year draws to a close and your first day at your new job approaches, there’s probably one question that’s weighing heavily on your mind: What the heck are you going to wear to work?

There’s no one right answer to that question, although there are several wrong ones. (Lamé jumpsuits are pretty much not going to fly unless you’re a model walking the runway.)

In order to help guide you and your wardrobe with the transition from college to career, we caught up with a few fashionistas to get their expert advice.

Remember that every company is different. Don’t be afraid to ask your manager or HR contact about the dress code before your first day. Then you can be free to worry about the really important things, like where you’ll eat lunch your first day, if you’ll get lost on the way back from the bathroom, and you know, learning how to actually do your job.

Good luck!
