The AfterCollege team is super thrilled to announce that we’re running our summer internship program for the second year in a row.

Here’s some basic info on the positions:

  • Internships will run from June 16 to August 8, 2014
  • These are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions that will require your presence in our downtown San Francisco office
  • We promise we won’t ask you to fetch coffee or make copies—these are hands-on positions that will give you a real taste of what it’s like to work in your field.

We’re looking to fill the following positions:

Social Media Marketing Intern

Are you analytical and creative? Do you think you can make creative decisions based on analytical data? Then put your skills to the test during this summer internship. The social media marketing intern will develop and execute a lead generation social media plan.

Projects will include creating landing pages, email optimization, webinar administration, and content marketing. You’ll learn new tools like Pardot, Salesforce, GoToWebinar, and social media platforms like LinkedIn, Slideshare, YouTube, Twitter, and more.

Plus, you will build a portfolio of data-based work, all the while helping college hiring managers advance their college recruiting programs and get better at hiring students and recent grads, like you!

Be sure to include the following materials along with your application:

  • One sample landing page. (If you don’t know what that is, research it. You’ll be doing a lot of that!)
  • Write 5 call-to-actions (CTAs) to entice prospective customers to sign up for any of our webinars. (CT-uh-what? Research it and write some of your own.)

Application materials should be addressed to Jennifer Rutt (jrutt AT aftercollege DOT com).

You can also find the full job description and apply on AfterCollege here.

Editorial & Social Media Intern

Put your writing, editing, and social media skills to the test during this hands-on summer internship. The editorial and social media intern will contribute ideas and content to the AfterCollege Blog and AfterCollege’s other social media profiles.

Projects will include brainstorming and writing blog posts, conducting and transcribing interviews, researching the social media landscape, and managing social media accounts. You’ll have plenty of chances to expand your proficiency in tools like WordPress and HootSuite and social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, and more.

Plus, you get to build your portfolio of published writing while helping other college students and recent grads figure out what they want to do with their lives and how to do it!

Be sure to include the following materials along with your application:

  • One sample blog entry (on any topic you think would make a good addition to our current content)
  • Topics for five additional blog posts you would like to write (just the title or main idea is fine)

Application materials should be addressed to Melissa Suzuno (msuzuno AT aftercollege DOT com). You can access the full job description and apply on AfterCollege here.
